Brief Overview
This is a unique hands on, action packed workshop designed to help you custom design your business strategy so you profit and thrive through the recession.
This training is presented in a 2 day boot camp style format with four 90-minute modules each day. 15 minute breaks are given in between each module and a 1 hour lunch break is also included.
Module 1 is a strategic primer. We'll delve into the nature of the threats facing your business and your specific industry and what can be done about them. You'll identify the opportunities that the recession makes available and how to exploit them as well.
We'll examine your value chain, your competitive advantage,and your USP (unique sales proposition). Several strategic methods for adapting your existing business structure to ensure profitability throughout the recession will be introduced.
Module's 2 and 3 are a hands on workshop for designing your own recession busting profit plan. In these sessions you will create several initiatives to test out in the real world after the training.
Marketing mix variations, product structure and size, pricing, offers and even new target markets will be examined. Cost cutting measures will be covered along with special recession oriented sales techniques for creating new business and keeping customers.
In module 4, you'll put the initiatives from the previous 2 modules into a definite plan and create a series of low cost tests and experiments to do after the seminar, so you can determine out in the real world which new strategies and approaches will work best for you and your business.

Recession Busting Strategy Session
Part I
Design your new recession busting strategies in this creative strategy workshop. In part 1, you'll examine your markets, marketing, products, pricing, packaging, offers, position, sales approach, and your unique value proposition - and how they might be modified so as to thrive through the recession.
You'll also clarify your KFS's. Those are the Key Factors for Success in your industry. Knowledge of your KFS's is critical for knowing how to beat the recession and begin thriving as you gain and sustain a competitive advantage.

In this section you'll continue creating your new recession busting plan.
This module will help you finalize your plan so you have a set of powerful strategies that will work for you and your business.

Decide exactly how your business must change in order to thrive during the recession Determine which strategies will help you embody the Key Factors for Success in your industry Map out new methods to maintain positive cash flow, and decide which cost cutting methods to use Make key strategic decisions related to the direction of your business, scope of business domain, pricing, competitive strategy and positioning |
Designing Your Tests and Your New Plan
In this session you'll create your own set of new initiatives to follow up on and test out after the seminar.
In strategic marketing, TESTING is an essential. The tests we will help you design in this module are low-cost and no-cost ways to determine, by actual customer response, if a new offer, price, package, sales approach etc.. works.
Testing proves the effectiveness of a new strategy or approach.
In testing, it is only the customer's response that matters. If they respond in a way that is more profitable than the existing method being used - then the test worked.
Split tests and Beta tests are the two most common types of tests. But you'll learn several other ways of testing in this module.
Using the insights from the two previous creative strategy sessions we'll guide you step by step through the process of setting up your new plan and a series of low cost tests for you to conduct after this training.

Implementation
The final module of this seminar is devoted to putting the final touches on your new strategic plan.
